OLDER sterling silver Indian handcrafted storyteller link concho belt with 17 round slightly domed conchos that are linked together. The overlay designs include: bear paw, peacock, kachinas, squirrel, thunderbird, turkey, roadrunner, turtle, deer, lizard, and other geometric & pictorial designs. You can fasten the buckle into any of the small round silver wire links to adjust the length to your waist size. You would let any excess links dangle downward at your hip. The overlay

black background has tiny punched dots to add texture to the overlay. Some type of texturing to the background often helps to identify the overlay piece as Hopi crafted, but I think this attractive concho belt was Navajo crafted. I was buying similar belts in the 1980’s that were made by Charlie Mike Yazzie, but this concho belt is unsigned.
Excellent quality and condition for this ca. 1980’s belt. The buckle is stamped “STERLING”. Nice HEAVY silver weight! Reasonable wholesale starting price.
