Older Santo Domingo pair of blue stabilized genuine turquoise tapered jaclas with white shell corn at the bottoms and red trade beads at the ends. The beautiful turquoise heishe beads are finely crafted and the heishe has nice brown matrix highlights. It is common for contemporary jaclas like this to be made from turquoise that has been stabilized for hardness, so that the beads don’t chip or break when they are drilled and shaped. The jaclas are strung on nylon string and have been braided and temporarily tied at the ends. The jaclas can be draped over a necklace in order to wear them in their classic form or they can be tied on as well. They can also be finished with clasps so that they can be worn as a choker necklace.
Excellent quality and condition for these ca. 1990’s jaclas. LOW starting price.
