    Description

    Item Description
    :
This vintage sterling bolo tie has been expertly crafted by Santo Domingo silversmith David Fletcher Garcia. David is a listed artist who began creating jewelry in 1972. This piece is hallmarked with the first hallmark that David used in his career, so dates to the early 70s. The bolo is set with a beautiful turquoise stone, piece of coral and large thick silver leaf. This style of silver leaf distinguishes many of David's pieces.
This bolo measures 3" tall by approximately 2" across. It has elegant 2 1/4" silver tips on the black braided leather tie. The bolo tie weighs 2 ounces or 58 grams. The back clasp is marked with a Bennett Pat. Pend. C-31. And the bolo has David's David F. Garcia hallmark. Both of the silver tips have deep dents and bends. The bolo has a rich patina from age and shows some normal signs of wear. Overall, this bolo tie is in very good vintage condition.
