This colorful pipe is an amazing art piece, evoking ancient ways and religious rites, the colors of stones and metals those of the natural earth...gold and silver, turquoise, lapis, mother of pearl, pipestone, petrified wood/agate. In the pipe ceremony, the smoke is an offering and means of communication with the spirits, with the pipe stem pointed in the direction of the spirits to attract them towards the ceremony. The bowl is filled with many pinches of tobacco, symbolizing prayers of blessing for all creation. As the tobacco is lit by the fire, inhaled and exhaled as smoke, these prayers of blessing become visible offerings. A dazzling inspired work of art by an artist who has transformed earthen materials of rock, gold and silver harmoniously into a majestic image of a spiritual journey beyond time ....
