One of the bordering oval turquoise has a hairline fracture three quarters of the way acorss its center. The stone is not at all loose within the bezel. Being sold as-is, as found in estate jewelry collection.

    Vintage Estate Navajo Native American Sterling Silver 17 Stone Turquoise Cluster Belt Buckle, Signed MP, weighing 2.1 ozt
    Up for auction is a Vintage Estate Navajo Sterling Silver Seventeen Stone Turquoise Cluster Belt Buckle, Signed MP, possibly the work of Michael Perry, however his monograph does not generally seem to have the "P" offset from the "M," and some sources suggest this maker's mark might indicate the work of Alice Platers, or possibly Maria Platero.  What a gorgeous array of sizeable turquoise gemstones!
    The width is 3 inches, and the height 2.25 inches. The triangular stone is .8 inch length, with the border oval stones ranging from approximately .6 to .75 inch length.  The accumulative weight is 2.1 troy ounces.
    We do not detect a silver mark on this piece, however it does not respond to a magnet, and it was otherwise professionally tested by the estate liquidator from which it was purchased, using a spectrometer.
