    Description

This substantial and striking sterling silver and 14K gold men's ring by Calvin Peterson, Navajo. It  is size 11 and weighs approximately 15.5 grams. It is approximately 15/16" high.  It is done in traditional Navajo/Hopi overlay style with the 14K gold overlaying the sterling silver base. The overlay is very well done and depicts the Kokopelli beneath a water wave. The Kokopelli is an important symbolic, mystical figure in Native American culture. He is a symbol of joy, fertility and wisdom and is believed to bring good fortune and prosperity to the wearer. The water wave depicts continuous life. The ring tapers to the back of the finger for a comfortable fit. This ring was purchased for our store in the 1990's and has been in our inventory/vault, not worn since then.  Priced below market for immediate sale.
