Southwestern Native American Indian Royston turquoise sterling silver necklace, stamped STERLING, and hallmarked
T JON, by Navajo artist Tillie Jon.
Tillie is a versatile silversmith of small stature who is often partial to large pieces. She makes traditional Navajo revival jewelry as well as contemporary, and also overlay designs.
This classic pendant showcases a striking blue-green stone with fine brown matrix veins. The cabochon is set in a well-constructed, smooth bezel wrapped in twisted wire, and framed by a beautifully stamped border. The pendant is 2 7/8" tall (including the bale and loop), by 1 1/2" wide at its widest. The bale is also nicely stamped from end to end, and it's 3/4" tall by 1/2" wide and can accommodate thicker chains or 3/8" beads. The pendant minus the loop and bale is just shy of 2 1/4" tall. The stone alone is 1 11/16" tall by 1" wide, from bezel to bezel. The necklace
    weighs approximately 50 gram
. The Spiga or Wheat chain is about 20 5/16" long, from lobster claw clasp to eyelet. This type of chain is created with four strands of twisted oval links braided and woven together to make a lovely, eye-catching design. Superb craftsmanship!
Thank you for supporting authentic Native American art.
