Description
Old Southwestern Native American Indian 3-stone turquoise Sterling silver bolo tie, unmarked, but most likely Navajo. This outstanding bolo showcases 3 light blue stones with a very dark, almost black matrix. The cabochons are nicely polished, set in a smooth bezel in the center of a recessed slide. The border is adorned with file work, and stamped appliques. The cord grip is clip style, it's in good shape, and it's stamped BENNETT PAT. PEND, which means if was probably crafted between 1967-1983. This pendant is about 2 1/4" in height by 2 3/16" in width. The larger stone alone is about 1" tall by 13/16" wide, from bezel to bezel. The cord is roughly 44 1/2" long including the 2 3/16" tips. Cord and tips are brand new. The complete bolo tie weighs approximately 60 grams. Very nice silver work and stones.Note: The larger stone has 2 hairlines, barely noticeable when worn considering the dark veins on the stone. These can also be repaired. The turquoise is secure in its bezel.
