    Description

    Schumann Square Bowl, Colorful Painted Pheasants
    Beautiful Schumann piece with birds and wild roses.  About 8 3/8 inches square.  Appears to be hand painted enamel over transfer as I can see brush strokes.  Surrounded by a drapery of fine gold.  Reticulated border for which Schumann was known.
    Marked in blue "Bavaria, Schumann, Arzberg."  Estimated to be 1900 to 1920, mark #2A courtesy of Efineantiques.
    Condition:  A little gold loss around the rim.  No scratches or other damage.
