Ray Lovato is the Santo Domingo artist of this one strand rare
Natural Manassa Turquoise heishi necklace. The necklace one
strand you will be purchasing is the slightly shorter of the necklaces
shown slightly greener with the most brown matrix of turquoise heishi shown.
Additional photos are provided to show of several heishi turquoise necklaces
all made by the same artist Ray Lovato for visual purposes
slightly different colors of turquoise.   This rare greenish natural Manassa Turquoise
measures 34'' L as shown on a squaw wrap and the beads measures 1/4"W.
A squaw wrap is the traditional way of making a clasp for necklaces.
This is how this necklace is being sold "as is" with traditional squaw wrap.
Turquoise from many select mines are often not readily available to
Native American artists today in todays market and the market is an
every changing place as fewer artists are making jewelry and several
mines are either closed or the stone is all mined out or the quality of
the stone also may not be there in jewelry making.  Those are but a few
of the many reasons why the price of turquoise continues to go up in
value along with having more of the demand and less of supply of not
only Turquoise but qualified quality known artists making the jewelry.
What you are seeing here is all natural turquoise, which has not treated
or stablized something that everyone wants and that no one can find...
