    Description

This uncirculated banknote is a replacement print for a 100-ruble note. The 100 Russian rubles banknote was issued by the Bank of Russia in 2014 to commemorate the Sochi Winter Olympics. These notes are of legal tender and circulate in parallel with existing 100-ruble notes. The blue note is vertically oriented on both sides and measures 150 mm by 65 mm. Its obverse side depicts a snowboarder snowboarding in front of a snowy mountain, a holographic flame, and the Olympic venues in Sochi. Its reverse side features a bird in gold SPARK ink, the Fischt Stadium, and an underprint of athletes in action: skiers, ski jumpers, skaters, hockey players, curlers, and bobsled teams. Security features include a Vitrail security thread, a serial number with an AA prefix, and a watermark of the Olympic rings and sochi ru 2014.
