Outstanding Sandcast Bolo Tie by Wilson Begay

DESCRIPTION: Offered for sale in this lot is an outstanding sandcast bolo tie by Wilson Begay. This bolo is set with a gorgeous turquoise cabochon (which appears to be high-grade Carico Lake Turquoise) featuring bold matrix throughout. It is mounted on a sandcast slide and accented with hand stamped designs. It is stamped as sterling and has a good weighted feel to it.
MAKER: Hallmarked WB under a hat. Wilson Begay (Navajo). Active since the 1960s.
APPROX AGE: Circa 1980s or newer.
SIZE: Braided cord measures 42 inches long including the tips. Slide measures 3-1/2 inches long X 2-5/8 inches wide. Weighs 106.3 grams.
CONDITION: Good for its age, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
