Old Vintage Navajo Ketoh Heavy Gauge Sterling Silver With Large Bisbee Turquoise

This is a completely handmade unsigned old Navajo Ketoh arm cuff. On the back side of the Ketoh is written in black marker, P-17 which must be a pawn or trader mark. (See photo). There is a large turquoise stone from the old closed Bisbee mine, that is magnificent. The Ketoh arm guard is made of heavy sterling silver and the design which is hand tooled, along with the high domed workmanship gives the Ketoh a look of strong character. The six sterling silver handmade spiderweb shaped buttons give the Ketoh a great balance. The leather is soft as is the lacing which is cut from the same leather that makes up the cuff. There are cleverly punched out, 2 sets of holes in the Ketoh for accommodating a large or a small arm which basically makes it unisex. The weight is: 145 grams/5.11 ounces. The Ketoh part that is sterling silver is: 4 1/8” high x 3 1/8” wide with 1/4” inch bent down on each side. The Ketoh including the leather is: 9 3/4” inches long with the first set of 4 holes starting at 3/8” inch in from each end, making it a larger opening when closed. Further in from the end is another set of 4 holes that start at approximately, 1 1/2” - 1 5/8” inches from the ends, making it a smaller opening when closed. The leather tie is 17 1/2” long. The large Bisbee stone in the middle is: 1 3/16” inches long x 7/8” inches wide. The handmade spiderweb shaped buttons are: 7/8” across. It’s are real handsome handmade piece of old Navajo beauty..
