VINTAGE Navajo sterling silver squash blossom necklace consisting of a heavy central naja strung on 8 mm diameter bench beads, with 12 three petaled blossom pendants on each side. The attractive naja has applied twist wire and raindrops, as well as a dangling squash blossom pendant suspended in the center. The necklace is strung on tiger tail wire and is completed with sterling silver crimp clasps.
Very good quality and condition, with a nice sturdy weight. By looking at the back of the naja, it looks like it was cast and then the silver designs were applied on the top. The classic look of this necklace will allow it to be worn with any other Native American jewelry. Unsigned, as is typical of jewelry of this era – ca. 1970’s. Reasonable wholesale starting price.
