COLLECTOR QUALITY/MUSEUM PIECE. RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN THIS FABULOUS XXL HIGH GRADE NATURAL CARLIN NEVADA  MINE TURQUOISE AND STERLING SILVER NAVAJO CRUCIFIX.
THE CARLIN MINE WAS A SMALL MINE THAT DID NOT PRODUCE MUCH TURQUOISE; SO CARLIN NEVADA MINE TURQUOISE IS “SUPER SCARCE”; AND NO LONGER PRODUCES TURQUOISE.  THIS LISTING IS FOR THE CARLIN MINE TURQUOISE CRUCIFIX ONLY; AND DOES NOT INCLUDE THE LINK NECKLACE.
THE STERLING SILVER HAS A WARM AGED PATINA.  THE  HUGE 4"H X 3.25"W X 5/8" D CRUCIFIX PENDANT IS GRACED WITH TEN RARE NATURAL HIGH GRADE DOMED CARLIN NEVADA TURQUOISE CABOCHONS AND SIGNED BY THE ARTIST ON THE BACK AS “S”.
The stones graduate from c 3/8”L to the largest c. 5/8”L. The Sterling Setting has raindrop designs framing the cabochons; pendant weighs c. 1.69oztw.  These are rare stones from an extinct mine with incredible natural inclusions taking millions of years to form just under the right conditions.  The back of the crucifix is hand incised/engraved with Navajo Initial “S” on the back. The Carlin mine was a very small northeast Nevada mine which hasn’t produced turquoise in many years.  The mine was known to produce very hard gemmy turquoise as exhibited in this beautiful piece offered today. Carlin Turquoise is highly sought after by collectors due to its color, quality and rarity.
