    Description

Light blue turquoise containing large portions of brown along with golden and tan matrix running throughout and sterling silver combine in this beautiful, traditional maiden pendant by Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration. The piece also features sterling silver, while the large, long, oval turquoise piece is set in a simple sterling silver bezel to form the center of the body. The turquoise stone is surrounded at the base by a sterling silver rope pattern, followed by a sterling band stamped with fine lines and scallops, cut out along the edges, and featuring two rows of appliqued sterling silver dots on each side.  A sterling silver maiden's head, complete deeply etched rectangular eyes and a round, appliqued mouth, protrudes from the top of the body, the forehead stamped with vertical and horizontal lines.  The head is bordered by a large sterling silver tableta on all sides, stamped with step and scallop designs. Hook bail is located at the top of the back of the piece. 3 3/8" long x 1 3/4" wide.
