    Description

Beautiful sterling silver and turquoise large cross with 6 cabochon stones by renowned artist, Federico Jimenez. The stones are a true blue turquoise with varying color and matrix and beautifully set off by the dark antiquing. We purchased this striking cross as new directly from Federico for our store in the early 1990's and it has been in our inventory / vault and unworn since that time. The cross 3.5" from the top of the bale to the bottom (approximately 3.24" excluding bale), approximately 2.5" wide and weighs a substantial 49 grams. Federico has been living, studying and creating his art from his home and studio in California since the 1960's. He often creates in a traditional Navajo style and his pieces are made to look "old". They are often highly antiqued with beautiful patinas. He is highly active in the Native American community and has served on boards such as the Millicent Rogers Museum and the Southwest Indian Museum in LA. Please examine carefully and let us know if you have any questions or need further information/photos. Priced below market for a quick sell. Please watch for our store and more exciting contemporary and traditional Native American pieces from a variety of artists and tribal affiliations (Navajo, Zuni, Hopi, Santo Domingo and more).
