Description
this is a lot of two (2) original small gelatin silver portraits of the same man, a BSA Scoutmaster with a "99" patch on his arm ~ these were found in a scrapbook album belonging to Bob Johnson of Oregon
~ Bob became a Sea Scout Quartermaster and Eagle Scout in 1933 ~ one of these photos [3-3/4" x 2-7/8"] is "mounted" on the small album page [6-5/8" x 5-3/4"], with these handwritten words: [by]"Mr. Martin...Recalling many pleasant times with you - 1936"; the other portrait [4-1/8" x 2-1/2", and printed on a RPPC backing] is loose and shows Mr. Martin in a formal BSA suit, wearing a wide-brimmed hat (no handwriting on that one) ~ a postcard mailed to Bob Johnson in 1937 gave his address as "Boy Scouts of America, Oregon Building, Portland, Oregon"
in VERY GOOD condition,but with grayish smudges on the album page
