    Description

    Welcome.
Offered... a uniquely stunning handcrafted bracelet made by the renowned Kirk Smith who was one of the great Navajo silversmiths and sadly died young. This piece is typical of one of his seminal styles made with hugely thick hand worked sterling silver, stamped very deeply and impeccably both on the sides and the back, set with 9 identically cut and buffed natural oval shaped turquoise stones with hand applied raindrops between them. This lovely bracelet is 1/2" wide and weighs a significant 67.84grams. The internal length is 5-1/2" for the silver alone and an additional 1-3/8" gap for a total of 6-7/8" in length. The stones are beautiful, buffed to a high polish and have several crevices which are natural formations, not damage. Some surface crevices seem matrix related, and nothing endangers the integrity of the piece. The overall condition is excellent vintage, wearable and collectible. It is properly signed with one of his mid-late hallmarks and also stamped for sterling silver. This is a superbly beautiful piece, built like a tank and very suitable for a man or woman. The stamping on the inside is always special, a secret beauty!
Kirk Smith learned from his father and an uncle, starting at age 9, but also his sister married Harry Morgan and Kirk Smith learned from Harry Morgan, too. But he developed his own style and it's wonderful. His work always sold at the best galleries.
The silver work and stone work are exceptional and very striking. Whether you're just starting, or adding to a collection. You'll love it! It's exquisite.

Yes, I sometimes can take reasonable offers.
I request payment by PayPal in two days, but planned in advance of purchase, alternate payment methods and time payments can generally be arranged.
I generally ship same day. Domestic: FREE expedited US shipping. I’m including insurance on all my shipments till the PO resumes full functionality.
International buyers pay actual shipping cost if I’m shipping myself rather than using eBay’s Global Shipping service, and International buyers are responsible for any customs fees their own countries may apply. Please discuss changing shipping method prior to purchase. My shipping defaults to Express International, which is tracked and insured, but I can use Priority Mail International. It's less expensive and is also tracked. First Class International is no longer offered by the US Postal Service. I charge the actual shipping cost and since shipping to each country costs a different amount, I will charge a little extra and refund the exact difference once I can put your address in and print a shipping label. I am no longer shipping to Italy and China, but can make exceptions if you speak with me about it, especially if you are a prior customer.

When I include pages from published books in my listings it is in accordance with Fair Use Law, which permits the use of source material for discussion, reference, education and criticism.
Attributions on many of the old pieces of Native American jewelry are sometimes a moving target. All the books have errors, so in addition to counterchecking, I have developed some expertise over the years and I do care about getting it right, so as more information comes to light I update my listings and also get in touch with my previous buyers, to inform them of any changes in attributions. I am sincerely committed to ongoing accuracy.
