    Description

Offered for your consideration is a beautiful sterling silver horse pin or brooch from Navajo artist Calvin Begay. Begay is a master craftsman who crafted his first piece of jewelry at age ten. He learned the art from his mother and an uncle. Begay now has decades of experience in every aspect of jewelry design and manufacture. He draws heavily on his Native American heritage and experiences to craft his wearable artwork.
The pin shows very little wear and it remains in excellent condition with no problems at all. It has not been cleaned or buffed and remains original.
The pin was beautifully crafted and it has a great look all the way around. The stone inlay work was beautifully executed and it's very clean. The stone appears to be turquoise, lapis, red jasper, & jet. The pink stone may be quartz and I'm not sure what the purple stone is. The pin is free of any damage with stones free of any cracks or chips. On the reverse side, the pin itself remains completely straight with no bending or deformation. The clasp latch rotates freely and latches securely closed.
The pin measures just under 2" in overall length (from the tip of the nose to the bottom of the rear leg) and it weighs in at ten grams.
A beautiful, original pin from this noted Navajo artist!
